 Please note : Before joining our ski courses, please ensure you are at the minimum level for the course. Please also take general fitness & age into consideration.

Level 1 - Beginner

You have never skied before or you are snowplough turning on green runs only. 

 

Level 2 - Low intermediate

You are skiing on blue runs and turning parallel controlling a steady speed and direction by making skiddy parrallel turns. 

You are not quite ready for our intermediate all mountain ski courses.  We would reccomend some private coaching to get you to the next level.

 

Level 3 - Intermediate

You are skiing confidentley on red runs with good parallel turns. You know how to tilt your skis onto their edges and enjoy going a little faster. You can control your speed and direction pretty well on most pistes. You now feel ready to start skiing some steeper black pistes and some of the easier off piste descents.   Our intermediate ski courses are just what you need.

Intermediate All Mountain Ski Courses

 

Level 4 - High intermediate

You can comfortably ski red runs & some black runs with no problems if the conditions are ok. You are now looking forward to try some easy off piste routes, steeper slopes and maybe some bumps that are not too big!  Our intermediate ski courses are just what you need.

Level 5 - Advanced

You can ski all pistes with no real problems including steep black runs. You can ski open reds at speed using your edges. You can make different size turns and can generally control your speed and line in medium sized bumps. You have skied some off piste and can get down if it's not too steep or too deep. You are now looking forward to feeling comfortable off piste and learning techniques for more challenging snow types and terrain.  Our advanced ski courses are just what you need.

Level 6 - Advanced All Mountain

You are skiing off piste quite a lot and can ski most conditions and terrain. You may still find it hard in certain difficult snow types, or when it's steeper or with big bumps. You feel the need to consolidate and improve your all round off piste skiing skills.  Our advanced ski courses are just what you need.

Level 7 - Expert Rider

You are getting pretty good now!  You can ski comfortably off piste in deep powder or on icy pistes, including steep slopes and big bumps. You have fun all over the mountain.   You might get cheers from chairlifts. You may also be a trainee ski instructor or just a hot!  Our expert ski courses are just what you need.

Intermediate All Mountain Ski Courses

DISCOVER A WHOLE NEW DIMENSION TO SKIING

This ski course has been designed to suit intermediate skiers who are looking to learn to ski off piste. Before attending this course you should already be a confident skier, skiing with good parallel turns & pole planting on red runs and easy black runs.

The first part of the ski course will focus on piste performance, improving your technique on groomed runs to lay sound foundations that will set the scene for all mountain skiing.

Your skiing will develop in a versatile way that will enable you to start venturing off-piste during the course. With some nice snow conditions, good coaching & a little video feedback, it's amazing how easy it can be.

The following aspects of your skiing will be developed:

  • Turning elements
  • Piste performance
  • Off piste foundation skills
  • All terrain performance development
  • Avalanche/ backcountry mountain safety

 

Week long and weekend ski courses available

These 2 day weekend ski courses are condensed versions of our 5 day courses. The aim of the weekend is to cover the major parts of the 5 day skiing course using a maximum activity approach. That means lots of great  skiing with tips and tactics for snow and terrain.

SAFTEY EQUIPMENT IS NEEDED FOR ALL MOUNTAIN SKI COURSES: Avalanche safety equipment (transceiver, shovel and probe) are mandatory. We have some rental packs if you do not have your own.

All Mountain / off piste performance ski courses include: 

  • Full days of coaching/guiding with ski lift priority. Typical skiing time 9-12 then 12:40 - 4pm
  • Daily video feedback after skiing 4pm - 4:45pm, Weather permiting.
  • Private Minibus transport for skiing. Your ski coach will pick you up at your accommodation in Chamonix and drop you off each day.

Performance Ski Courses - Off Piste & All Mountain Ski Courses

All ski courses are run by elite British ski instructor Mark Gear.

With 3 course levels to choose from for all mountain & off piste skiing. Intermediate ski courses, advanced ski courses and expert level ski courses are available in Chamonix throughout the winter season. You can choose to do a 5 day ski course or a shorter 2 day weekend ski course.

 

All Mountain - off piste performance ski courses include: 

  • 5 or 2 Full days of coaching & guiding with ski lift priority when needed. Typical skiing time 9-12 then 12:45 - 4:15pm
  • Daily video feedback after skiing 4:30pm - 5pm, Weather permiting.
  • Private Minibus transport for skiing. Your ski coach will pick you up at your accommodation in Chamonix and drop you off each day.

 

With a maximum of 6 people per course, you will receive lots of individual feedback, your skiing will be developed in a variety of conditions and terrain on and off-piste, thus maximizing your ability to ski the whole mountain.

Master your off-piste skiing, learn to feel ultimate control on steeps, gullies and couloirs. Also covering some bumps tactics & piste performance carving skills.
