These off piste ski courses have been developed by us for expert level skiers who wish to improve their freeride skills off piste. Candidates should be capable of skiing all conditions and terrain before attending these courses.

These off piste freeride ski courses provide the perfect blend of the perfect setting with elite coaching and demonstrations to offer you a great weekend of off piste skiing in Chamonix. At the end of each day you can watch video footage of yourself to help further your progress.

SAFTEY EQUIPEMENT IS NEEDED FOR OFF PISTE SKI COURSES: Avalanche safety equipment (transceiver, shovel and probe) and a helmet are mandatory. We have some rental packs if you do not have your own.

Why Chamonix for our off piste ski clinics and private lessons.
Chamonix has the reputation for being the world capital of off piste and freeride skiing. There are 6 extensive ski areas offering a huge amount of easy to acess off piste skiing routes. Chamonix off piste is good for all levels of off piste skier from powder novice to powder to expert rider. With some of the highest altitude skiing in Europe providing a superb snow record. Chamonix the ideal place for us to run our off piste / all mountain ski courses and clinics
Each Chamonix ski area offers a different type of terrain. Le Brevent and la Flegere are great for couloirs and bowl skiing for all levels of off piste skier. The variety of terrain the ski area offers makes this a favorite area on our ski courses.
Further up the Chamonix valley Les Grands Montets is a massive mountain with undoubtedly some of the best skiing in the world .The Grands Montets provides high north facing slopes and very easy to access off piste skiing which is why it is where famous freeriders hang out. Glaciers on the upper sections lead down to wide open bowl skiing with steeps and couloirs. The tree skiing and in-to valley couloirs are also great for expert skiers. At the Grands Montets we can often ski 10000 vertical meters per day on our expert and freeeride ski courses. A great lift system opens up 3 sides to this amazing ski mountain.
Le Tour at the high end of the Chamonix valley is great for all levels on piste and off piste. The front side is easy terrain for beginner off piste skiers. This is an ideal place for us to take intermediate level ski courses on the first couple of days of the course with the back side offering some very nice terrain for more advanced and expert skiing.
The Aiguile du Midi lift takes skiers and alpinists from Chamonix town to an impressive altitude of 3842 meters. This is not a ski area for piste skiing. All the runs are off piste and on a glacier making the skiing more serious. A high mountain guide is advised for this.
Les Houches is situated as at the lower end of the Chamonix valley and offers more gentle terrain than the rest of the valley. There are many tree-lined pistes and some off piste skiing to be found in our secret spots. Les Houches is also where the mens world cup combined event, The Kandahar, is held. Some of the best skiers in the world race in downhill and slalom over a 2 day event. This is a great place to ski in the Chamonix valley when the weather is bad as the slopes are shelterd by pine trees.
Chamonix is just 1 hour drive from Geneva airport. Many companies fly into Geneva airport from most major UK airports.
